Charle Tanqueray
Charles Tanqueray was the founder of the Tanqueray distillery, known for producing high quality gin. He was born in 1794 in Bristol, England and began his career as a distiller in 1820. In 1830 he opened his first distillery in Bloomsbury, London, where he developed the famous Tanqueray gin recipe, which is still used today. In 1868, after Charles' death, the distillery was bought by the Gordon family, who ran it until 1949, when it was sold to Distillers Company Limited. Today, Tanqueray is a brand of Diageo, one of the world's largest spirits producers.
Tanqueray gin has been one of the most recognized and respected brands in the spirits industry for decades. Its famous original recipe, which uses four selected botanicals (gentian, angelica, coriander and bitter orange) is considered one of the most balanced and harmonious among traditional gins.
Over the years, Tanqueray has expanded its product range, launching variants such as Tanqueray Rangpur, which I love very much, it is a lime flavored gin from Rangpur, it has long been a potential botanical of our GIN MEDITERRANEO and Tanqueray Sevilla, an orange flavored gin, in this case the experiment in my opinion and taste was not successful at all, lastly I also mention the Tanqueray 0.0, which certainly helped to take a slice of the market, but which will certainly turned the late Charles Tanqueray in his grave.
These variants have attracted the attention of new consumers and have helped to strengthen the brand's position in the market.
Tanqueray has also partnered with world-class bars and restaurants to create signature recipes and promote the use of gin in innovative cocktails.
Among these, we can mention:

These are just a few of the many collaborations Tanqueray has had with world-renowned bars and restaurants, demonstrating the quality and versatility of its gin and its popularity among gin professionals.
Today, Tanqueray remains a reference brand in the spirits sector and continues to be appreciated by both consumers and professionals of the sector. Its product range is available in many countries around the world and continues to be used in classic and modern cocktails.
